Learn More about Advanced Directives

Elders who are in good physical health can often remain at home as long as they wish. However, over time certain household and personal needs may become too difficult to manage on one's own. Staying on top of bill paying, good nutrition, and personal care are crucial to maintaining a healthy and enjoyable living environment. Professional personal and household services enable elders to continue the life they wish to live, even as they are faced with limitations.

Bookkeeping and Administrative Needs

Staying on top of bill paying and financial paperwork is often one of the most difficult and necessary household needs faced by an elder. Reading small print may be difficult, and understanding medical billing paperwork easily becomes confusing. Yet missing a payment or paying the wrong vendor may make a significant difference in and elder's monthly available cash. Over time, such mistakes can be very costly. Personal bookkeeping services, provided by bonded, experienced financial assistants, offer day-to-day help with ongoing financial affairs. Services should be professional and tailored to an individuals needs.

Personal Care and Support

Personal care services include everything from light housecleaning, to shopping and meal preparation, to planning events. Personal care and support services are often provided in conjunction with home care or care management. They are intended to help an elder remain engaged with family, friends, community and social activities. The involvement of personal assistant staff can be intermittent, short-term or long-term, depending on the level of service desired.
